Tan Ejin

Pupil

Ejin is a pupil-in-chambers under the mentorship of Nathalie Ker Si Min. She obtained her LL.B (Hons) from the University of Leeds in 2022, and subsequently completed the Bar Practice Course alongside an LL.M. at The University of Law.  

Prior to commencing pupillage, Ejin was actively involved in public policy and advocacy work focusing on women’s rights, children’s rights, education inequality, and democratic participation. She has engaged with high-level stakeholders in the course of her advocacy, including the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed, the former Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations, H.E. Dato’ Syed Mohamad Hasrin Aidid, and the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. In 2021, Ejin was nominated for the Human Rights Recognition Award by the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue in 2021.
